Ramadhaan Twenty Three: From the Light of the Qur'an

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

[Suratul Asr]

So I hope we remember what was mentioned yesterday, the four things to be accomplished in order to not be in loss,
He says the first thing is to believe- you're actually drowning,
-take action to save yourself (hence; good deeds)
-realize there are others drowning too; try to help them(wa tawasaw bil haqq)
-encourage each other to keep on going (wa tawasawbissabr)

an interesting thing about the first statement Allaah made is that He used the word "khusr" for loss, there are three words for loss, "khusr-some loss" "khasaar- increasing/ongoing loss" & "khusraan-the greatest kind of loss".
But Allaah uses the least kind of loss out of His mercy and because the Qur'an doesn't preach depression or encourage people to give up hope, but rather increases the people in hope. So the entire importance of the Ayaah is for us to understand that "I have to make some changes in my life because I'm drowning, I have to stop pretending that things are okay"

To be continued in sha Allaah...
