Ramadhaan Nineteen: From the light of the Qur'an

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem

[Surah Al-Hadid]

wa laa yakuunu kalladhiina uutul kitaaba min qablu -and that they should not be like those given the book before them,
fadaala alaihimul amadu - but the time became prolonged to them
faqasat quluubuhum - so their hearts hardened..

So Allaah is saying isn't it time yet that they stopped acting like those given the previous books before them, who had failed in their relationship with the Qur'an, and a long period passed & their hearts became hard??

SubhanAllaah, Allaah describes the hearts as becoming hard, why??- because the people are becoming like the people of the book. they recite the book but have no clue what's in it. They don't come to it to soften their hearts, to talk to Allaah. they benefit nothing from it.

And Qur'an is not just to put Barakah in our ceremonies, decorate our homes or help us get a job; The Qur'an is there to change us, to make us better people- it came to change our lives.

We celebrate the memorization of the Quran but we are not concerned about learning what is inside of it, and don't we think Allaah would ask us about this?

The 23 most difficult years in human history was culminated with, "Give on my behalf even if its just an Ayah" Rasulullaah (salAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) just wanted the world to know this book, and here we are-we've left it.

we need to really connect to the Qur'an and make effort to understand, and Alhamdulillaah for Ramadhaan, -The month that became special because the Qur'an came down in it, not even because of the fasting,Let's use this Ramadhaan as an opportunity to change our lives by virtue of the Quran

To be continued in sha Allaah...
