Ramadhaan Twelve: From the Light of the Qur'aan

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem.

[Surah Al-Hadid]

So previously Allaah tells us that He owns all that's in the heavens and the earth, and He's the inheritor of what is therein...He asks us to spend out of what He has provided for us (temporarily), and If we do so He's promised us a Great reward. But here again, Allaah reiterates the issue of spending, but this time,He says;....

"man dhalladhii yuqridullaaha qardan hasana",-who is there to offer Allaah a goodly loan?

fa yudaaa'ifahu lahu,- so that He (Allaah) doubles it for him

wa lahuu ajrun Kareem"-and He shall have an excellent reward.

SubhanAllaah, but why is Allaah asking for a loan?? A loan is given to someone who doesn't own something, but Allaah owns everything & here He's asking Us for a loan.
what does this mean?
imagine one of our parents coming to us and asking us for some money and having to add, "I promise I'll pay you back" - first it shows how oblivious of their needs we must've been, and second how greedy we must be for them to have to mention "I'll pay you back, its just as a loan".
So Allaah knows our nature, how we like to hold on to our stuff (that aren't even ours, that HE gave to us), and how we don't let go easily...So He had to mention that "its just a loan, I'll pay you back"-since All the other reasons presented to us to spend on His path didn't convince us, He says Alright then, give me as a loan. SubhanAllaah

(This should make us really shy knowing how much Allaah has done for us, all the countless blessings, Everything He has given us; He had to ask us for a loan and promise a pay-back before we got motivated to spend for Him)

and you know what, that's not all, He even adds something, He says, this is no ordinary loan, I'm not going to just pay you back, but I'll Double it for you, I'll give you a Noble Gracious Compensation on top of that.

SubhanAllaah...

To be continued in sha Allaah...
