Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem
[Surah Al-Hadid]
All this while Allah's addressing the people, He's admonishing us and reminding us, and now He tells us about the aftermath, on that day, He says;
"yauma taral mu'miniinah wal mu'minaat, yas'aa nurihim bayna aidiihim wa bi aimaanihim,- on that day you will see the faithful men and the faithful women; their light running out of them (from their chest) and from their right hand...
Imagine...Judgement day is extremely dark, and we all have to go over Jahannam, (may Allaah save us from it), So the path is really dark, but for those who had imaan in their hearts, Allaah will convert that imaan into a light, like a torch coming out of their hearts illuminating the path...
Then there's another light in the right hand, the light of good deeds. Allaah never mentions the light of the hand alone or the light of the chest alone, & this is because if you have imaan it is impossible for you not to back it up with action. there's just no way, so we cant just say "I have imaan in my heart even though I don't pray, etc" -on judgement day; we'll see if one light works while the other's out -it doesn't. Because in the Qur'an you either have both lights or you have nothing.
SubhanAllah...
